HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT
The Manager of Facility Operations and Movement will support with the management and delegation of crews and contractors to the routine building and campus maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, HVAC, plumbing, janitorial, etc.). Ensures general cleaning, organizational, and other tasks to be assigned.
This position is primarily responsible for the large-scale movements within the facility; all movements that involve the move/position of large assets are included within the scope. Rail movements are to be coordinated to support the production workflow, from assembly, to commissioning, and to final destination. Contractor coordination for off-site storage of cars.
• Manage movement team staff and facility technicians to the benefit of both the movements team 24/7 rail operations & increasing demands of the building.
• Contractor delegation of building maintenance and beautification related tasks such as painting, drywall repair, plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and cleaning
• Coordinate the movement of large Stadler assets (via rail or crane)
• Ensure team is following company policies and procedures, including safe work practices and OSHA reporting
• Observe regulations concerning environmental protection and preservation
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years' experience in maintenance management role or equivalent field• Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems
• Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members
• Excellent time management, organization, delegation, prioritization abilities
• Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
