The Faculty of Business, Economics and Information Technology at the University of

The Chair of International Management is part of the Department of Business
Administration (Institut für Betriebswirtschaftslehre) within the Faculty of Business,
Economics and Information Technology. The focus of the chair is on strategic
management of multinational enterprises, in particular the challenges that
multinational enterprises face related to transformation, renewal and long term
performance. Research at the chair draws upon current theoretical perspectives from
strategic management and organization theory (e.g. behavioral theory of the firm,
organizational learning theory, and cognitive theory) and employs qualitative,
quantitative, and simulation methods. Research projects typically combine a strong
emphasis on theoretical and empirical rigor with practical relevance. The chair
provides a highly research oriented environment focused on creating the platform for

Your responsibilities

A doctoral degree in Business Administration or neighboring fields such as
Applied Economics, Industrial Engineering and Management, or in other
business relevant fields.
